Special Preview and Fundraising Event: Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6 to 9pm.
Gallery 85, the newest gallery in San Jose’s Santana Row opened by San Francisco 49ers Vernon Davis, is hosting an evening of art, culture, and social engagement to celebrate a Special Preview and Fundraising event for the new feature exhibition, “FAITH. The unique evening event will help raise funds for the Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts which promotes arts education and art appreciation for at-risk youth and awards college scholarships to artistically talented inner-city teenagers.
The premise of the exhibition is not religious in nature, but rather focused on the manifestations of hope and the unknown as expressed through Art by promising young and established Bay Area artists.
The thematic exhibition will display the spirit of open communication and art engagement through paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Participating artists have re-contextualized their artwork to create a truly unique and fascinating exhibit expressing the act and notion of faith and trust, resulting in genuinely unexpected relationships and interpretations.
In honor of this unique offering, Vernon Davis will be making a special appearance at Gallery 85 to hold a speaking engagement and mingle with event attendees. The event will be open to the public, with a suggested donation of $30.
