Hill Family Estate, family-owned producers of Napa Valley wines, invites wine and sports enthusiasts to celebrate the inaugural release of LOVE wine at a celebration event held on Sunday, April 24th from 2 PM to 5 PM at The Barrel Room at V Marketplace in Yountville.
The event showcases a limited edition, Napa Valley red blend that Hill Family Estate produced in partnership with pro-football player, artist, and philanthropist, Vernon Davis. The recent Super Bowl champion, who painted the artwork that graces the bottle of LOVE wine, joined forces with Hill Family Estate co-proprietor, Ryan Hill, to produce a wine to benefit the Vernon Davis Foundation (VDF). Fifty percent of the proceeds from the sale of the LOVE wine support the Foundation and its mission of providing arts education for at risk youth in the Bay Area.
The LOVE wine celebration offers one hundred and fifty guests an exclusive opportunity to meet Vernon Davis and be the first to taste the LOVE wine. Guests will enjoy Hill Family Estate’s celebrated wines, alongside silent and live auctions of Vernon Davis sports memorabilia and paintings, and a live performance by a youth musical group from San Jose–one of the beneficiaries of the Vernon Davis Foundation. All proceeds from the silent and live auctions go directly to VDF.
“We hope to raise a lot of money for VDF,” shared Ryan Hill, co-Proprietor of Hill Family Estate.
“Vernon Davis is a recent Super Bowl Champion, upstanding individual, friend, and is continually making the time to give back to his community. We hope to make a little noise in the world of wine and football by offering the LOVE wine to sports and wine enthusiasts across the country.”
Art and creativity have always been an outlet for Vernon Davis, who when asked about his Foundation, stated, “My dream is to help make Art ‘cool’ again, by helping and inspiring one youth at a time to break out of the fear of expressing themselves artistically.” The LOVE wine and celebration event will help VDFA to expand their arts education and programming. Patrick Powell, the Foundation’s Executive Director, added, “Our mission is simple, and that is to encourage our youth to look at and use art as a form of therapy, empowerment and most of all LOVE.”
Tickets to the event are now available for purchase for $125 per person. The LOVE wine, normally only available to Hill Family Estate wine club members, will be available for purchase along with event tickets. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
