Mission Statement

The Vernon Davis Foundation’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults in our community. Professional Athlete and Philanthropist Vernon Davis started the endeavor back in 2011 as a way to promote art education and appreciation among the youth. Today the foundation takes a holistic approach, focusing on the overall health, education, and well-being of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. By providing essential resources such as scholarships, grants, learning materials, meals, and clothes, we strive to service and inspire our young leaders of tomorrow.

Services We Provide

From 2011 to date, the foundation has given away over 25 scholarships totalling more than $100,000. In partnership with Vernon Davis’ pre-existing art gallery, Gallery 85, $250,000 was donated to local San Francisco artists. Read 85 raised over 500 new and gently used books yearly for schools in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area reaching 3000 students.
